Hey Guys, it’s Lohri time once again when people celebrate the shortest date and longest night of the year with music and dancing. Lighting of bonfire is to scare the winter away and yearn for longer sunny days. Dulha Bhatti was the Indian Robinhood born during the dynastic rule of Mughal Emperor Akbar and saved many Punjabi young girls from forcibly sent to be sold in the slavery market of Middle East.
Sadly while the sound of drums was inviting me last night to step out and dance to its beats, I was on a phone call with a client discussing my new role in a new company. I was happy too in my thoughts of working with new people, going to new places. So this was one the rare moments of my life where I was happy and sad at the same time.
I missed by badminton session too with my buddies whom I simply adore. Particularly Sir Judas. 2 days ago on Sunday I texted him saying “Ek Pappi Chahiye Aap Ki. Kab Milegi”. By this actually I meant that I needed to seek his personal advice on some matter. He took in a literal way and felt that I was crossing the line. Anyway this wasn’t my intention. But since I have been already punished for a crime that I am yet to commit, ‘Ab Pappi To Le Kar Rahengi, Duniya ki Aissi Ki Taisi’.
There are some people who draw a line around them and there are some people who are out there to erase such lines. This is how the nature restores balance. Some people keep their emotions hidden while others wear them on their sleeves.
Nice guy but this Sir Judas. He keeping his grace replied by saying that “Pappa doesn’t give Pappi, Only Jhappi”.
I feel I am close to finalizing the new employment agreement with these people who made me happy and sad at the same time. Can’t wait to get going and put my arms around them.
